Some soldiers of the Nigerian Army combated Boko Haram Terrorists who were trying to gain entry into Michika in Adamawa state, yesterday.
It was gathered that the troops fought hard and repelled the attacks of the criminals, thereby, halting their bid to forcefully take over the area.
The 115 Task Force Battalion had received some calls around 7:20 pm from the local security personnel at Maikadiri area.
According to them, some terrorists were quietly migrating to Michika via the Road Maikadiri- Shuwari.
As soon as the information got out, the soldiers swiftly got into a defensive formation and began to attack the terrorists with gunfire.
As they tried to fight back, the troops used more artillery, forcing the terrorists to retreat and find an escape route.
However, the troops called in for reinforcements. Soon, BHTs were overpowered, leading to the deaths of many among them. Only a fraction of them was able to flee from the scene.
Later, in the dead of the night, some of the survivors silently sneaked to the fight scene to evacuate the bodies of their compatriots.
The area has now been kept under full surveillance by the Nigerian Army.
Some of the things that were recovered from the terrorists are Toyota Starlet, foodstuffs, motorcycle, Ford vehicle, and Tyre Inflator.
