Nigerian Army troops have eliminated bandits behind the August 2021 attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna State.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna, Samuel Aruwan made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday.
He said that the leader of the gang and a notorious bandit, Boderi Isiya “narrowly escaped being neutralized” but his “deadly” second command, one Musti, and several other fighters were gunned down.
The commissioner said that the security agencies informed the Kaduna State Government of this development in an operational feedback.
“A painstaking check with credible human intelligence sources further confirmed that Boderi and his terror group had a bad day at the hands of the combat-ready troops.
