Soldiers in three trucks Tuesday morning shot into the air to disperse peaceful EndSARS protesters in Abuja.
According to information reaching The Herald, the incident occurred at the Sokale and FO1 areas of Kubwa.
The peaceful protesters were said to have gathered early Tuesday for the protests when the soldiers arrived.
It was gathered that the protesters erected a barricade at the Sokale roundabout area and Winners road in preparation for the day’s protests when the soldiers invaded.
The shooting incident reportedly created tension in the areas as residents quickly shut windows and doors.
Commuters also ran helter-skelter apparently to escape being hit by stray bullets.
