The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, on Friday, disbanded the caretaker committees of the 23 local government areas of the state.

The Governor dissolved the committees after holding a short meeting with the caretaker committees at the Government House, in Sokoto.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal relayed his gratitude to the committees, thanking them for their unwavering support and commitment  to his administration over the course of the last two years.

“All of you know that the due process is that sole administrators can only be in office for six months. Now you have spent two years. I’m aware that some of you would want to contest. I wish you all the best. Whether you come back or not we will continue to engage you whenever the need arises,” Tambuwal said.
