The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a businessman, Friday Okeke, for allegedly defiling two underaged boys on Lagos Island.
The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Bala Elkana, said in a press statement that the suspect was arrested following complaints lodged by the victims’ parents at the Ebute Ero Police Station.
“On July 27 at 11.30 a.m. , the Ebute Ero Police Station received a complaint from two different parents (names withheld) against one Friday Okeke, 35, of No. 23, Kose St., Lagos Island,
“They said that the suspect lured their two male children (names withheld), aged 12 and nine years old respectively into his shop at Kose Street and had unlawful carnal knowledge of them through their anus.
“The victims were taken to the General Hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.

“The suspect was arrested by a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer in Ebute Ero, CSP Sina Olunlade.
“Investigation is ongoing, and the suspect will be charged to court after it, ” he said.
Also, the command said that operatives from the Operation Crush had arrested 26 cultists in Bariga and Oworonshoki areas of the state
It said that the arrest followed a violent clash between members of two rival cult groups in the areas during this month.
Elkana said in the statement that the Lago State Commissioner of Police , CP Zubairu Muazu, ordered the immediate deployment of operatives of Operation Crush to the communities.
He said that the CP also gave the team the mandate to identify, isolate and apprehend leaders and members of the gangsters and cult groups disturbing the peace of the areas.
“Acting on credible intelligence, 26 suspects were arrested within five days and various assorted weapons were recovered from them.
” All the suspects will be charged to court. The onslaught will be ongoing until all the gangsters are totally defeated.” he said (NAN)
