A six year old girl has tested positive to Coronavirus in Jigawa State.
According to State authorities, the girl is the daughter of the index case of Coronavirus in Kazaure local government area of the state.

The Chairman of the state task force on Covid-19 and Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abba Zakari made the announcement in Dutse on Tuesday.
“The girl’s father is the index case in Kazaure and was confirmed to be Coronavirus positive upon his arrival to Kazaure from Enugu State.” he said.
Dr. Zakari explained further that 18 samples were taken for testing but only the sample taken from the six year old came back positive for the virus.
He thereafter announced that the girl will be evacuated to the State isolation centre in Dutse where her father is already receiving treatment.
Jigawa state currently has 39 confirmed coronavirus cases with one recorded death.
