Nigerian Singer, Emma Nyra has apologized after facing serious backlash over her comment about alleged fraudster, Hushpuppi.
Emma Nyra posted that most Nigerians were only happy about the arrest of Hushpuppi because he oppressed them with his wealth on social media.
She stated that rejoicing at his downfall will not put money in the pocket of Nigerians.
This attracted the anger of Nigerians who blasted the singer for enabling internet fraud in the country. She was also accused of defending a thief and a criminal with her chest.
The singer has now tendered an apology to people who felt offended with her post.

She wrote: “I genuinely apologize if I offended anyone. I never meant to do that. I simply meant that I’m tired of reading about it. Justice will be served when it comes to his case and understand that I would never defend his actions at all. I actually never did.”
