Nigerian singer Simi has spoken publicly about her struggles with stage fright, revealing that she still gets nervous before performing new songs live.
In a post on social media platform X, Simi shared a clip of herself rehearsing a song from her latest album, “Lost And Found”. She wrote: “The first few times I have to perform a new song live on stage is like trying on a new pair of shoes that needs adjustments.”
Simi explained that she needs to give her brain time to bond with the song in order to overcome her nervousness. Despite her history of stage fright, the singer has found a way to manage her nerves and deliver great performances.
