Simi Blames Negligence and Lack of Value for Life in Nigeria for Jos School Building Collapse

Popular singer, Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, has reacted to the tragic collapse of a secondary school building in Jos, Plateau State, which resulted in the loss of 22 lives and injuries to 132 students. Simi took to her social media handle to express her outrage and sadness, attributing the incident to negligence and a lack of value for human life in Nigeria.

She lamented that the lives lost were “gone like that because of people’s negligence” and lamented the “maddening” reasons people die in Nigeria. Her comments echo the sentiments of many Nigerians who are calling for accountability and improved safety standards in the country’s public buildings.
