Police in Edo state have charged a 47year old man for broadcasting a WhatsApp message which criticised the state governor Adams Oshiomole.
Curtis Ugbo was charged on Tuesday with for reportedly “disrupting public peace”.
The WhatsApp message which has gotten Mr Ugbo in trouble with the law is
“What is wrong with my boss, the ground breaking of Edo state own industry in partnership with a private company under government Public Private Partnership (PPP) and stake holders. No state House Members or Speaker and National Assembly members present. Notice”
The police said the message was a crime and was capable of disrupting peace in the society.
