As the Ebola virus continues to raise serious concerns in West Africa, the spotlight on the cure has increased significantly. Whilst there has been significant breakthrough in the United States as far as locating a cure is concerned. The companies have not taken the cure to market because it is still considered economically unviable.
In this MSNBC video report, their correspondent covers why American companies will not market the drug that can cure Ebola to Africa. And it all boils down to the fact that economic considerations or profits are more important than human lives.
Yesterday President Barack Obama pledged $14 billion in investments to Africa, however it would be prudent to realize that such investments are not for the good of African humanity but American capitalism.
