Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram has released a new audio where he cried to ‘Allah’ for help against the superior firepower of the Nigerian Military.
According to a report by Daily Nigerian, the one minute, 22 seconds long video featured Shekau who spoke in Kanuri asking Allah for protection against the devilish acts of the Nigerian Army.

This comes against the backdrop of the recent string of victories scored against the insurgents by the Nigerian Military.
There has been a sustained air and ground attack against Boko haram by the Nigerian Military which has killed at least 18 vital terrorist commanders.
Sustained assaults by the Nigerian army has also left more than 500 Boko Haram fighters dead in the last two weeks as the Nigerian military Might unleashed hell on terrorist positions in Borno and Yobe.
In the latest audio, Shekau admitted that his fighters were facing extreme hardship from the activities of Nigerian Soldiers during this Ramadan period.
“If it is the devilish act and wickedness [of the Nigerian military], may Allah protect us from their evil. Oh Allah, keep us firm on your religion. We are poor things who know nothing, oh our Lord, Allah.
“We deserted Izala people to practice Your true religion; we abandoned Tijjaniyya people to practice Your true religion; we deserted the Shiites to practice Your true religion; we forsook our parents, uncles and aunties to practice Your true religion.
“It is because of your religion that we placed knife on Your servants’ necks; but today, they are trying to change us from one thing to another.
Oh Lord, have mercy upon under [the blessings] Ramadhan; Oh Lord, have mercy on under [the blessings] of Ramadhan (crying profusely).
The Chief Terrorist moaned
“Oh Allah give us victory over our enemies. Oh brothers, for Allah’s sake, obey Allah and help me with prayers. This does not mean I am angry.
“May Allah keep us firm on the Qur’an. Allah knows best. Peace and blessings be upon the Prophet of Allah and all thanks be to Allah,” Shekau sobbed in the audio.
