Senator for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani has urged the government of Zamfara State to take action against any emirate that confers traditional titles on bandits in the state.
He stated this in a Sunday tweet after it emerged that a notorious bandit leader, Ado Aleru was turbaned as Sarkin Fulani of Yandoton Daji Emirate in the state.
Sani wrote, “The Zamfara state Government must take action against any emirate that confers traditional tittle on Bandits leaders. Killers must not be crowned.”

The News Editor, Thunder Blowers Multi-media Services, Abdul Balarabe shared photos of the turbaning ceremony on Twitter.
Balarabe said that the turbaning took place at 3:30pm on Saturday.
“Finally, Notorious Bandits kingpin Ado Aleru turbaned as Sarkin Fulani (The King of Fulani) of Yandoton Daji Emirate in Zamfara State.
“It took place around 3:30pm today Saturday 16, July 2022,” he wrote.
