Bichi replaced Acting DG, Matthew Seiyefa who was appointed by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo after the sacking of Lawal Musa Daura on August 7 for unauthorised invasion of the National Assembly.

Sani took to his Facebook page to commend Bichi’s appointment, despite heavy criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari by many Nigerians that described the appointment as “lopsided”.
