The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sani, has blasted security agencies in the country for alleged harassment and intimidation of opposition state governments.
Sani made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections.
He said, “Whenever you hear the apparatuses of the state are threatening with fire and fury, it’s in the states controlled by the opposition; in other states, they are mute, cowardly or evasive on matters of profesionalism.”
The senator’s observation is coming against the backdrop of allegations by the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) that the police was conniving with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig the election.
