Shan George explained that the scam occurred while she was attempting to obtain her bank statement for a visa application. She received an email from the fraudster, pretending to be Zenith bank staff, and responded, unaware of the scam.
After realizing her money was stolen, the actress took to social media, sharing a viral video of herself crying and appealing for help. Her plea prompted a swift response, and her money was eventually returned to her account.
