Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has revealed that members of his family treat him like a Coronavirus suspect.
Mustapha made the revelation at the Thursday briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.
He said his family members had become wary that he could contract the virus and hence subjected him to several hygienic measures upon his arrival.
“I don’t know your experiences out there, but I can tell you that it is one thing that has totally disrupted and distorted our social life,” he said.
“I leave my house every day and I return in the evening. I’m treated as a suspect. I have to wash my hands; I have to decontaminate my shoes; I have to walk into my house and barely will I be sitting down, my wife will ask me, ‘have you bathed?’ I will say, ‘I just arrived’.
“I don’t know what your experiences are, but that’s the level of disruption the COVID-19 has brought into our homes and into our lives and it is the way we respond to it that will determine whether we’ll win this war.”
