The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has raised the bar for governance performance rating in the country.

The party stated this in a Friday message signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan celebrating the governor at 53.

According to the party, Makinde is an exceptionally ingenious administrator, whose unwavering commitment in pursuing the welfare of his people in line with the party’s manifesto “has elevated the bar for governance performance rating in our country”.

The party said that “Governor Makinde has distinguished himself as an extraordinary personality, a good-hearted individual and excellent manager of resources, whose sacrifices for the good of his people is a clear demonstration that the true essence of statesmanship lies in utilizing its exceptional opportunities for the benefit of others rather than self.

“Our party is indeed proud of Governor Makinde’s efforts in elevating the living standard of his people as well as his resounding achievements in infrastructural development and other critical sectors of education, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, water resources among others.

“Moreover, Governor Makinde has also shown himself a very loyal party man, who has continued to make personal sacrifices for the development of our party.

“The PDP therefore celebrates Governor Makinde and prays God to continue to grant him good health, more wisdom and many more years so that his state, Oyo, our party, the PDP, our nation, Nigeria and humanity at large, will continue to benefit from his wealth of experience and patriotism.”
