Americans are trolling Nigerians on social media after an old Nollywood video featuring Tonto dike surfaced.
In the old video, Tonto Dike plays the role of a university student being asked for sexual favours by her lecturer.
The post titled, ‘Nigerian College Student Learns About the Hard Knock Life’ attracted mocking reactions from Americans many of whom tagged the situation as normal in third world world countries.
The movie from the 90’s as well as many others from Nollywood during the era tried to call the attention of authorities to the growing trend of sex for marks in Nigerian Universities at the time.
Although the trend is still being practiced, it is no longer as widespread as it used to be and various university managements have taken a tough stance against the predatory practice.

Apparently ignorant of this, many Americans reacting to the video, mocked Nigerian Universities and students for such predatory behaviour. Some even went as far as accusing Nigerian pastors of the same practice towards their female congregation.
