Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has finally broken his silence after being released on bail from prison. The Lagos State police command granted him bail and set him free in the early hours of yesterday.
Confirming his release, Seun Kuti’s lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, spoke to journalists and said, “Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago. His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today (Tuesday), to conclude an investigation.“
Following his freedom, Seun Kuti took to his social media page a few hours later to express his heartfelt gratitude to his defense attorney, family, and loved ones who stood by him and played a vital role in securing his release. In his post, he wrote:
“I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up!
