Popular upcoming artiste and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Dino Melaye has released another hit track titled “Governor Pass Governor” in which he mocked the former Governor of Akwa Ibom and fellow Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Senator Dino Melaye released the video to his latest song during a courtesy visit to the current Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Emmanuel Udom in company of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
In the Video, several government officials including Dino Melaye and Emmanuel Udom were seen sitting at a round table while Dino Melaye spit bars on the microphone.
“Governor dey pass Governor, Ayaya, Udom pass Akpabio, Ayaya”, the “Ajeku iya ni o je” crooner sang to the amusement and gleeful laughter of those present.
The second half of the two minute long video showed Dino Melaye and the officials standing in what looked like the lobby of the Akwa Ibom governor’s office while the senator was trying desperately to teach the Akwa Ibom governor the lyrics to his new hit track to the admiration of bystanders.
Dino Melaye drops his new hit track no doubt to further highlight the political intrigue that has gripped the Nigerian Political space with the approach of the 2019 General Elections.
It has been a season of cross-carpeting and defections between the two largest parties, the All Progressives Congress, APC and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as well as a few minor parties.
Senator Dino Melaye himself just defected from the APC to the PDP alleging maltreatment and neglect at the hands of APC leaders in general and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State in particular.

The Senator was accused of gun running by the Kogi state police command and is also standing trial for allegedly trying to evade arrest by committing suicide.
Godswill Akpabio, the latest subject of Melaye’s music also defected from the PDP where he was the party leader in the Senate to the APC; a move that has attracted wide spread criticism from top echelons of the PDP.
