Senator Ben Murray Bruce has always been an advocate for buying Nigerian and had even recently shown up to an event in full made in Nigerian clothes. So he had taken offense with Ambode’s latest move.
The Governor of Lagos State in a bid to help security in the state had made a bold move donating a whooping 140 brand new Ford Ranger Pick-Ups & 335 Power Bikes fitted with communication gadgets, Helmets, Bullet Proof vests and other kits to security agencies in the state.
The entire purchase totaled around N1.85billion Naira. The purpose is to boost security in Lagos state.
The move had been applauded by many, but while Senator Bruce was convinced that Ambode was trying to do a good job, he did pick issue with the governor not buying the car from a Nigerian Manufacturer and he took to his Twitter to make his displeasure known.
