Senate President Akpabio Urges Davido to Stay Out of Politics

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has advised renowned Afrobeat singer Davido to avoid getting dragged into politics. Akpabio made this cautionary statement during Davido’s courtesy visit to his office in Abuja on Monday.

Receiving Davido, Akpabio commended the musician for making Nigeria proud and emphasized the importance of remaining a great ambassador for the country. He highlighted the inclusive nature of the current administration, stating that despite political differences, the common interest of the country unites them all.

Akpabio encouraged Davido to continue excelling in the entertainment industry and resist any attempts to draw him into politics. He assured the singer that the political arena values talents and will support the entertainment industry and talented individuals like him.

Davido, accompanied by his cousins Tunji Adeleke and Folasade Adeleke, expressed his gratitude to Akpabio and shared his philanthropic efforts through his foundation, which donates N300-400 million to orphanages annually. He also announced his upcoming album, set to release in June or July.

This meeting highlights the intersection of politics and entertainment, with Akpabio’s advice serving as a reminder of the importance of focusing on one’s strengths and passions.
