The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally reacted to a viral video showing Kano state governor Umar Ganduje receiving bribe in stacks of foreign currency.
The APC said its hands are tied and it cannot take an action on Ganduje’s bribery video because the matter has already been taking to court.

The ruling party also affirmed that Mr. Ganduje had sued Daily Nigerian, the platform responsible for the two clips of the scandalous footage released between Sunday and Monday.
The party confirmed its position through its spokesperson, Lanre Issa-Onilu who spoke to Premium Times reporters saying;
“The matter is in court, the governor has taken the medium to court. “We cannot comment on a matter that is already before a law court.”
Mr. Issa-Onilu’s comments come on the backdrop of the video which was initially released by the Daily Nigerian in two batches;
Senator Adeleke to be docked October 31 for exam fraud
The first video seemed to show the governor receiving up to $230,000 from Kano State public works contractors for the construction and allocation of stalls in a new market.
Governor Ganduje vehemently denied the allegations contained in the video first saying it was ‘cloned’ and ‘doctored’ and later on threatening a lawsuit against the publisher of Daily Nigerian amidst calls for the governor to resign his position following the scandal.
Critics argue that the governor has, at best, violated money laundering laws by handling at least $230,000 (over N82 million) in cash.
