New reports claim that Kanye West has put almost $7 million Into his presidential campaign, including millions to political operatives to help him get on the ballot.
While West’s Birthday Party initially missed an FEC deadline, his self-funded campaign has since made its spending public, with West himself loaning $6.8 million to cover expenses from July 15th to August 31st.
Over the last several weeks, numerous links to Republican-aligned lawyers have raised concerns that West’s campaign is siphoning Black votes away from Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
Few days ago, a Judge in Arizona demanded that the ‘Ye’ rapper be removed from the state’s presidential ballot.
West’s campaign finance report, filed on Friday, shows that his campaign paid about $4.4 million towards securing spots on presidential ballots across the country, which has thus far landed him on at least 11 states’ ballots.

The campaign gave nearly $1.3 million to Atlas Strategy Group, which is led by prominent Republican operative Gregg Keller. However, he’s also paid $2.6 million to Millennial Strategies, a Long Island-based firm that has consulted for Democrats.
Another $95,000 went towards travel expenses, including a private jet for the rapper and $25,000 was paid to West’s reported “spiritual advisor.”
However, the campaign also received $11,472 in outside contributions.
