The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sani, has disclosed that ‘some plain clothes men’ visited his Abuja residence on Tuesday morning.
He made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle.
Recall that Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu had their residences invaded in the Maitama and Apo areas of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja earlier today.
While denying that his house was under siege by security agencies, Sani said he was ready for any political persecution from the authorities.

He tweeted, “My house is not under siege but I’ve received calls that ‘some plain clothes men’ just came to my Abuja residence asking of me, after I’ve have left for office. I’m available. I’m a Revolutionary. We’ve been through this in the years of the Struggle.”
Sani was arrested by the Sani Abacha-led junta on treason-related charges in the 1990s and sentenced to life imprisonment before it was commuted to 15 years.
