A young schoolboy has lost hos life after frantically taking a desperate step to prove to Custom officers that the liquid contained in his bottle is nothing but an apple juice.
According to reports, the young schoolboy identified as Cruz Velazquez, 16, a student of a Mexican high school was reported to have downed the bottle believed to have contained liquid meth in front of border patrol officers to prove to them that it was apple juice.
The 16-year-old was suspected to be a drug mule for one of the Mexican drug Cartel.
CCTV footage showed the young boy whom his sister was threatened with death should he fail to cross the border with the highly toxic content sipping the content of the bottle which he claimed to have been nothing but an apple juice.
Custom officers in the video footage were seen encouraging the young boy to drink more of the content of the bottle which he did.
However, minutes after consuming the content of the bottle, Cruz started sweating profusely and he began to shake as his blood pressure increased.
He later fell to the floor while screaming in pain as he shouted: “my heart”, “my sister”, and “my cousin”.
He was later rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed of “massive overdose”.
