A female corps member(name withheld) serving at Future Promise Comprehensive College, Lantoro, Abeokuta was severely beaten by the School’s Vice Principal, Mr. Gbenga on Friday because she left the school three days earlier without telling the VP.
The Corps member left the school on Wednesday after she was done with her classes, she told a student to help her bring her bag, the VP collected the bag from the student and he held on to the bag for three days.
The Corp Member went to confront the VP on Friday who in turn called a set of male students to hold her down while he started flogging her. To add more woes, the students that held her down also participated in beating her.
However, male corps member saw the incidence and dragged the students away while scolding the Vice Principal.
The girl had earlier written a petition against the school complaining about the number of ghost corps members in the school.
The Vice Principal is also notorious for making corps members sweep and renovate.
