An angry father with two daughters at a school in Britain claimed “hundreds’ of children were refused admission because of their footwear.
Pupils at the school were turned away from classes today – for not wearing the right shoes.
Parents were told last month of a “reviewed uniform policy” that detailed the shoe styles which would be acceptable and said pumps, trainers and “shoes with a prominent logo” would be outlawed.
“There were kids roaming the streets – we got messages saying they were being told to leave the premises.
“In September the school allowed trainer shoes with no logos.
“But then the policy changed and proper shoes must be worn.
“I’m quite willing to comply with that but I’m a working dad and I need to get paid first before I can afford to buy expensive new shoes,” the dad reportedly said.
