The parents of a 15-year-old UK school girl who allegedly committed suicide have come out to say that they believe the wireless internet connectivity in her school killed her.
Speaking at a coroner’s hearing on Monday, Mrs Fry and her husband, Charles Newman, told the court that their daughter, Jenny Fry, suffered from electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) which caused her to suffer tiredness, headaches and bladder problems.
Her parents said at the inquest she was found dead after suffering an allergic reaction to her school’s WiFi that made her life a misery.
She had reportedly texted a friend before the suspected suicide that she was not going to school that day.
After becoming increasing distressed by her symptoms, the Chipping Norton School, Oxfordshire pupil was found hanged in the woods near her home on June 11.
Her parents told the Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court that their daughter became ill because of WiFi and had removed the WiFi from their own home.
They said she would hide herself in empty classrooms and sit during lessons as far away from the router as possible.
Her mother, Mrs Fry, said: “WiFi and children do not mix. I believe that WiFi killed my daughter.”
