Religion fanatics chop off 6-year-old boy’s head for claiming another sect in Saudi Arabia

2 Min Read

A Saudi Arabian boy had his head cut off while his mother watched on in horror, all because he chose to practice another branch of Islam. The six-year-old boy and his mom had gone to worship in a shrine in Medina when some men approached them asking whether they belonged to the Shia sect. Although the mother insisted they were Shia Muslims, a car subsequently double-crossed them, and the little bot was whisked away.

As soon as the culprits could, they stabbed the six-year-old boy in the neck consistently until his head was completely chopped off. While this went down, the mother wailed uncontrollably as she could not save her child from the brutal execution.

Saudi citizens are said to mostly belong to the Sunni sect of Islam and persecutions of those who belong to other sects are not uncommon over there, according to some Human Rights groups.

A Washington-based campaign group known as Saudi Shia Watch reacted to the cruel murder saying:

There was no intervention from anyone and no response from authority thus far.

The Saudi Shia community came together in mourning and to show solidarity with the parents.

The community also reported this incident is a result of ongoing violations and lack of protection by the Saudi authority toward its Shia population.

Saudi Shia have been under military crackdown by their government and many Shia are in prisons and on death toll.
