Embattled Senate Prsident, Bukola Sarki has been scheduled to appear before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on May 31 for the hearing of his appeal against his trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
The Appeal court yesterday delivered the judgement following the suit lodged by the Senate President against the Code of Conduct Tribunal challenging the jurisdiction of the Code of Conduct Tribunal led by Justice Danladi Umar to try him on the 16-count criminal charge preferred against him by the Federal Government.
The charges against the embattled Senate President borders on his alleged false/anticipatory declaration of assets and money laundering.
Other charges include operation of foreign accounts while serving as the governor of Kwara State and further allegations that he continued recieving Salaried after leaving office as the State’s Governor
