Muhammadu Sanusi, the Emir of Kano is currently facing fresh probes on allegation of “unethical conduct” by an eight-man panel set up by the Kano State House of Assembly.
The probes were reported to have ensued following two petitions written against the Emir by one Muhammad Mukhtar from Ja’en Yamma quarters in Gwale Local Government, and another identified as Muhammad Bello-Abdullahi, head of the Kano State Society for The Promotion of Education and Culture.
According to Zubairu Masu, the chairman committee on local government and emirates, the petitions sought a “necessary and thorough investigation” by the house over alleged acts which are contrary to Kano State’s culture and tradition.
