1 Min Read

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Sami Khedira on a four-year contract.

The 28-year-old, who was linked with several top-flight clubs in the Premier League, joins the Uefa Champions League losing finalists on a free transfer.

Khedira came through the ranks of his hometown club, Stuttgart, and made his Bundesliga debut in October 2006 against Hertha Berlin, going on to win the German championship in his first season with the senior squad.

He signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid in July 2010 for an undisclosed fee. Khedira won the La Liga, the Copa del Rey (twice), the Supercopa de Espana, the UEFA Super Cup, the Champions League and the Club World Cup during his time with Los Merengues.

He also recorded successes with Germany’s Under-21 team at the European Championship in 2009 and was also part of the senior team who won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He joins Juve’s vast midfield lineup which already includes the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
