Liverpool’s star duo, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane argued furiously over the right to take a penalty in the team’s 4-1 win over a Manchester United second team on Saturday evening.
Both teams were goalless in their International Champions Cup clash in Michigan, United States when Salah was wrestled to the ground in United’s half and he promptly stepped up to take the resultant penalty.
However, teammate Mane also stepped up to take the penalty, which caused an argument between the duo.

Despite Mane appearing to insist he would take the penalty, Salah refused to back down until he was pulled away by James Milner.
Even as he was being pulled away, the Egyptian, who looked annoyed, continued to mumble some words of protest against Mane taking the penalty.
But the Senegalese eventually took the penalty which beat United’s new goalkeeper Lee Grant, who was too slow to stop it despite jumping in the right direction.
To make peace after scoring the 28th minute penalty, Mane jogged over to Salah after celebrating his goal with the rest of the squad and dedicated the strike to him.
Liverpool’s lead was shortlived though, as United’s Andreas Pereira equalised with a stunning free-kick four minutes after.
If Jose Mourinho’s United side had hoped for a draw or win, they got the opposite as Jurgen Klopp’s side banged in three more goals.
Daniel Sturridge, Xherdan Shaqiri and Sheyi Ojo each grabbed a goal as Liverpool saw off United’s challenge.
