Real Madrid might be without Cristiano Ronaldo for a few games as the forward faces another ban this season, after he was caught grappling with Girona midfielder, Pere Pons, during their 2-1 defeat on Sunday.
As the ball was swung in, Ronaldo realized that he had lost the battle for it and started pushing Pons’ head which left the defender on the floor.
Ronaldo missed the first five games of Real’s campaign, after he was sent off for diving and then pushed the referee during his side’s Spanish Super Cup victory over Barcelona.
He has struggled since his return, scoring only once in the league.
Real are now eight points behind leaders Barcelona in the title race and might be without Ronaldo for a few games.
