The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Ahoada West state constituency in Rivers State, Agidah Boma Carson, has regained his freedom.
His sister, Joyce Ugbosu, confirmed the development to this newspaper early Friday.
“Boma’s captors have released him. He has regained his freedom. Glory to God,” the IT consultant said.
The Herald had reported that Agidah was allegedly kidnapped while lodged at Charlyson Hotel, Ishaya, Mbiama, in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8.
This newspaper further learnt that the hotel manager was arrested, although the circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear.
