Rivers Crisis: “Wike Lacks Anger Management Skills” – Dele Momodu

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has slammed Nyesom Wike over the ongoing feud between the FCT Minister and the Rivers State Governor, Similaniye Fubara.

The Herald recalls the heated rift between the former Rivers governor and his successor, Fubara, resulted in the arson attack on the Rivers State Assembly.

The state governor had accused his predecessor of not giving him a free hand to run the activities of the state. However, following his revelation, Rivers lawmakers loyal to the FCT minister allegedly instituted efforts to impeach Mr Fubara, setting up a chain of events in the political landscape of Rivers.

In a tweet via his official X handle on Wednesday morning, Mr Momodu said the former Rivers governor was being consumed by his hunger for power, further suggesting that the former Rivers governor lacked anger management skills.

“Like every mortal, you have one tragic and fatal flaw, and yours is LACK OF ANGER MANAGEMENT,” a tweet by Mr Momodu partly read.

“It would have been nice if you’re in private business and running your personal enterprise. But RIVERS is neither your property nor perpetual inheritance,” Mr Momodu added.

Dele Momodu suggested that the former governor’s political ride from being governor to the minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory should satisfy him.

His comment comes just as the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party weighs in on the feud between the former governor and his successor.
