After the Department of State Security revealed that Radio Biafra founder Nnamdi Kanu had apologized to the Nation, President Muhammad Buhari and Igbo leaders over his disparaging statements, several pro-Biafra groups and even Kanu’s lawyer came out to deny the apology.
However the DSS has released the hand written statement by Kanu confirming the reports that he indeed apologized.
An excerpt from the statement reads “Reference to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a terrorist, evil and paedophile is regrettable and uncalled for and for that I unreservedly apologize and will be willing to do so in a private letter to the President.”
It appears President Buhari did not receive his apology well, as the PResident indicated that Nnamdi’s alleged crime border on treasonable felony and that he will not be released from jail until the charge is heard by a competent court.
