Reuben Abati, the former spokesperson for ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who was arrested on October 24, 2016, has been granted bail by the EFCC.
He was arrested in connection with the misappropriation of over $2.1 billion arms procurement fund through the Office of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Abati’s bail conditions included presenting his passport and a surety of not below level 16 in the Civil Service.
It was earlier reported that Mr Abati told investigators that he spent N50 million on media relations that had to do with his work as media adviser to Mr Jonathan.
On further interrogations to produce evidence on how the money was spent, Abati reportedly said such dealings were not documented.
