After he scored four goals against Swedish side, Malmö FF on Tuesday, Real Madrid forward and current FIFA Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has described reports linking him with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu as “speculation”.
Ronaldo scored four goals to break the UCL record of the highest goals scored in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. With his four goals, he netted 11 goals in 6 games in the group stages, 2 goals more than the previous record of 9 scored by himself and Luis Adriano of Shaktar Donetsk.
Reacting to questions about whether he planned to move away from the Spanish capital in the nearest future, the 30-year-old said: “Every year the same thing has happened. I am relaxed and I feel at home at a club which has helped me a great deal, and I am very happy here.”
He also called for more support from Real Madrid fans, saying: . “Everybody criticises a club like Real Madrid when things don’t go right. But we are used to it. We’re fine, on a good roll and we’ll go on like this.”
