Internationally acclaimed South African actress, Connie Chiume, has passed away at the age of 72. Her family announced her passing in a public statement on Tuesday, revealing that she died at Garden City Hospital on August 6, 2024.
Chiume was a talented actress who gained widespread recognition for her roles in popular TV shows such as “Mohlolohadi”, “Zone 14”, “Yizo Yizo”, “Rhythm City”, “Housekeepers”, and “Grassroots”. She also made a significant impact in the Marvel movie “Black Panther” and recently starred in the hit series “Gomora” and featured in Beyonce’s film “Black Is King”.
