A Former Presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri, has declared that miracles and financial breakthroughs are not signs of godliness.
The lawyer who served as an aide to ex President, Goodluck Jonathan, stated this via his Twitter handle.
The vocal figure advised Christians against going to churches to look for miracles and financial success.
”Don’t go to church to seek miracles and financial breakthrough. That‘s not what church is meant for. Go to church to seek and maintain your salvation. Miracles and financial breakthrough are not evidence of godliness,” Omokri admonished.

He went further to say that “even magicians can perform them”.
This is not the first time Omokri would be challenging institutions of authority.
Only recently, the author and lawyer dared Garba Shehu, the aide to President Buhari, to spend one night in Kware, Sokoto state or Koshobe, Borno state, to prove Nigeria was secure.
Omokri then went on to offer a reward of $20, 000 if Shehu went ahead with the dare.
The development was a major talking point on social media in recent times.
