Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri says he will dole out $20,000 (app. N8 million) to Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.
However, Omokri said, Shehu must first visit two terror strongholds – Koshobe in Borno State or Kware in Zamfara State – and spend one night without security.
Koshobe is the town where Boko Haram slaughtered 43 rice farmers in November.
The vocal former Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media spoke after Shehu boasted that the President Buhari administration has improved security in the country.
“Garba Shehu said General Buhari has made Nigeria safer.
“I vow to pay Garba Shehu $20000 if he will spend a night without security in Koshobe, Borno, or Kware, Zamfara, verified by an independent journalist.
“I will give the funds to @DeleMomodu when Garba accepts to go,” he wrote on social media.
He urged his followers to share the information “so Garba sees this!”

Reacting, Shehu said, “If this is the money from the collections made in the name of Leah Sharibu, the unfortunate Christian girl stolen by Boko Haram, I won’t touch it with a long (spoon). Please keep /your USD20000′.”
