Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has tasked authorities to investigate the incident that led to the fire outbreak at the Supreme Court complex.
Making this call in a tweet on Monday, Omokri explained that an investigation was needed to prevent conspiracy theorists from poisoning the minds of Nigerians.

The Herald had earlier reported the fire outbreak at the Supreme Court complex.
His call comes as the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi head to the Supreme Court to challenge the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.
Recall that the PEPT struck out all petitions brought against Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
However, both the Labour Party and the PDP rejected the tribunal’s verdict and announced plans to contest the tribunal verdict at the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court has received 86 grounds for appeal from Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi seeking to overturn the decision.
In separate appeals submitted on Tuesday, the two candidates argued that the PEPT decision should be overturned and that Tinubu’s election should be declared invalid.
Atiku’s appeal was predicated on 35 arguments in which he criticised the tribunal’s decision regarding the electronic transmission of results, the votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory, and other crucial tenets.
On the other side, Obi criticised the judgement from September 6 on 51 different grounds.
