A former vice president of the United States, Joe Biden has revealed that he regrets not running for presidency in the 2016 presidential election.
Speaking on Friday, Joe Bidden revealed that although his decision to stay out of the 2016 presidential race was best for his family, he still regrets not occupying the oval office.
Joe Biden who disclosed this while he spoke at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, said: “I had planned on running for president and although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won. Maybe not, I don’t know.”
He added that he “lost a part of his soul” when his son, former Delaware attorney general, Beau Biden, died in 2015 of brain cancer.
Biden who was emotional while speaking about his late son described him as “the finest man I’ve ever known in my life.”
He added: “Do I regret not being president? Yes.”
