Real Reason The Kardashians Are Cancelling Their Reality Show

2 Min Read

Insiders have revealed the real reason why Keeping Up with the Kardashians is coming to an end after 14 years on air.

It came as a shock to many when the Kardashians announced that they will stop filming their reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ which has been running on E! for the last 14 years.

Insiders exclusively told Page Six that the Kardashian family has been talking about “what the end of their show looks like” for “three or four years”. Kanye West’s mental health crisis, E!’s finances, and a big Kardashian cash grab were all factors in the demise of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” insiders revealed.

According to reports, Kim Kardashian was not interested in talking about her husband’s bipolar disease on the reality show and it wouldn’t be fair to the viewers to completely remove Kanye from the series.

Also, due to the pandemic, E!’s parent company, NBC Universal, has been hit financially which resulted in the cancellation of “E! News”.

Another reason why the show is being cut is because their last episode dropped in viewership. The show which got 5.8 million viewers for a season premiere in 2010 brought in just 1.6 million viewers for its most recent episode.

Sources also revealed that for the last four years, the show has been more important to the family as a platform to advertise their various products and draw new potential customers than as a source of income in its own right.

Plus, the family’s social media followings now reach a wider variety of people than the reality show.
