Spanish club, Real Madrid has signed 18-year-old Rodrigo Rodrigues from Gremio Novorizontino on a six-year deal.
Rodrigo Rodrigues was born in São Carlos, São Paulo and made his professional debut at the age of 16 on March 29, 2017, before he was loaned to Palmeiras.
Earlier in his football career, he was promoted to the the under-20 squad ahead of the 2017 season at Grêmio Novorizontino and was later added to the main team squad at the club.
Speaking about his transfer to the UCL holders, he said, “This is a dream for me to wear the shirt of the world’s biggest club. This is the best club for me to develop as a player. I hope I can win plenty of trophies here and bring the fans a lot of joy.”
