A report on a Spanish radio station has claimed that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez is prepared to cough out 190 million euros to trigger the buy-out clause of Barcelona forward Neymar.
According to Spanish sport paper MARCA, quoting a programme on Onda Cero radio station, representatives of Los Blancos met the player’s father in Zurich on January 11, during the time the FIFA Ballon D’Or award was being held.
The report also claimed that Neymar’s representatives confirmed that they were approached by a team from Real Madrid.
It is believed that Perez is desperate to sign a big player to appease the Real fans, who are said to be demanding.
Also, the report claimed, the club are also ready to pay him a massive weekly wage to convince him to put pen to paper.
Neymar was voted third best player in the world behind teammate Lionel Messi and Real’s Cristiano Ronaldo, but is expected to win the coveted award prize in the nearest future.
