Defending champions, Real Madrid on Tuesday evening booked a ticket to their third straight UEFA Champions League final with a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Zinedine Zidane’s lads first set the encounter in their favour by beating Bayern Munich 2-1 in the semi-final first leg played at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Jupp Heynckes’s team put up a superb performance to put Merengues on the back foot on many occasions, however a well-organised defence and an inspiring performance from goalkeeper Keylor Navas helped checkmate the Bavarian side’s attack.
Madrid progressed with a 4-3 aggregate win.
Real Madrid have now reached their third consecutive Champions League finals, winning the last two, and will hope to beat either Liverpool or AS Roma for their 13th UCL title.
